Subsidized Transportation for
Seniors and Disabled M.D. Residents

The M.D. of Foothills No. 31 provides subsidized transportation for medical appointments only through the existing taxi services and the High River Handibus.

Please be advised that this service requires nominal fees to be paid by the client and as of May 1, 2010, the nominal fees will increase as follows for a return trip:

1. $6.00 – in the area doctor hospital etc. (this fee remains unchanged);

2. Charge to client round trip to Calgary will be increased from $15.00 to $35.00, to be paid directly to driver;

3. Charge to client round trip out of local area (i.e. Okotoks, Oilfields to High River, etc.) will be increased from $10.00 to $20.00.

Waiting time that exceeds two (2) hours, would be paid by the client at $25.00 per hour for taxi service and $30.00 per hour for handibus.
