Bylaw Enforcement
Officer - Permanent Fulltime

The Position: The Municipal
District (MD) of Foothills No. 31 has an exciting
opportunity for a permanent fulltime Bylaw Enforcement
Officer. Reporting to the Community
Services Coordinator, the Bylaw Enforcement Officer will
deal with all matters as they
pertain to municipal bylaws, including the implementation
and enforcement of the Land Use Bylaw 01/99, Business
License Bylaw, Water Conservation Bylaw, the Traffic Bylaw
and Villages of Cayley and Blackie Unsightly Bylaws.
Additionally this position provides support services to the
Planning Department Development Officers, the Safety Codes
Officers, Public Works Department and the Economic
Development Officer. A detailed

Qualifications: A valid
Alberta class 5 Operators license and Grade 12 diploma,
Basic First Aid/CPR and WHMIS training.
The successful candidate must be able
to work on their own initiative and have
good proven experience of formulating an investigation plan,
collection and analysis of evidence, interviewing witnesses
and preparation of investigation reports to be admissible in
Court. Proven ability to use common office software
including Work, Excel, Access and GIS. Excellent written
and oral skills are a must.
Application:
This position involves a 37.5 hour work
week, must be able to work shift work and be on call. The
successful candidate must be willing to relocate within the
boundaries of the Municipal District of Foothills No. 31.
